LoJack Corporation (NASDAQ: LOJN), the company that invented the stolen vehicle recovery market, announced that police recovered a stolen classic car equipped with a LoJack for Classics system. The 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu, valued at approximately $20,000, was reported stolen on a Sunday, in Vallejo, CA and tracked down – just one hour after LoJack for Classics was activated – by a combination of the Vallejo, CA Police Department, the California Highway Patrol Aviation Unit, as well as Martinez, CA and Concord, CA Police Departments.

Before removing a gas tank sending unit, mark the direction in which the unit goes. We mark an arrow on top of the sender with a Sharpie. The float arm will bind inside the tank on some units if they are turned in the wrong direction. It’s also a good idea to drain the tank and add back a measured amount of gas, so if you have a 20-gallon tank and you add 5 gallons, and the gauge registers ¼ tank that’s a good indication that everything is working correctly.
